Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Take on an impactful nursing opportunity providing high-quality care in a dynamic stepdown and telemetry setting. This contract role allows you to make a difference with a dedicated team, supporting patients with complex needs as they transition from intensive care.
Schedule/Hours:
3 x 12-hour night shifts
Qualifications and Experience:
Active RN license Previous experience in stepdown or telemetry units required ACLS certification (current) Proven proficiency in medication administration, patient assessments, and developing individualized care plans Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting as part of routine patient care
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care for stepdown and telemetry patients with a focus on safety and quality Monitor, assess, and report on patient conditions, adapting care plans as needed Effectively manage a 6:1 patient ratio on night shifts (and 5:1 on day shifts), providing acute observation and timely interventions Administer medications, track responses, and document outcomes with accuracy Collaborate with fellow clinicians, support staff, and physicians to coordinate treatments Engage with patients and families to communicate care plans and progress, ensuring a supportive environment
