CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) - Whitesboro, NY

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Seeking a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing to support surgical services. This contract role offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team, delivering critical perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures.

Key Qualifications:

Current, unrestricted RN license Recent experience in a CVOR setting required Proficient with surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile technique Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nursing staff Certifications in BLS and ACLS preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with all phases of cardiovascular surgical procedures as circulating and/or scrub nurse Prepare and maintain sterile operating environments Monitor patient status, anticipate needs of the surgical team, and respond rapidly to emergencies Ensure accurate documentation of interventions and patient outcomes Safeguard patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout the operative process Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient assessments
