Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into an essential role providing high-quality perioperative care in a dynamic surgical environment. Seeking a Registered Nurse skilled in the Operating Room, this contract position offers the opportunity to support surgical teams, advocate for patient safety, and utilize advanced clinical knowledge in a fast-paced setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license Recent experience as an RN in the Operating Room (OR) setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred Familiarity with surgical procedures, sterile technique, instrumentation, and safety measures Excellent assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs Strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork abilities Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients Prepare and maintain the operative field, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and safety standards Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgical procedures as assigned Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient care Monitor and document patient status and responses before, during, and after surgery Patient and family education regarding procedure expectations and post-operative care Maintain detailed, accurate medical and surgical records in compliance with regulatory guidelines Ensure safe handling and tracking of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment This contract opportunity places you in a vital position supporting surgical outcomes and patient well-being.
