Job Description

OhioHealth seeks a Staff RN Endoscopy Circulator to deliver safe, compassionate care for patients undergoing GI and other endoscopic procedures. In this role, you'll coordinate all aspects of the procedure, including pre-op assessment, intra-procedural monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery. You'll collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, uphold infection prevention and safety standards, and support patients and families through education. Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care for endoscopy patients as circulating RNAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies according to protocols Administer and monitor moderate sedation per policy and provider orders Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and techs to ensure safe procedures Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record Monitor patient status before, during, and after endoscopic procedures Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions Uphold infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and team huddles Required Skills Endoscopy nursing Perioperative nursing Patient assessment Moderate sedation management IV insertion and management Cardiac and vital sign monitoring Infection prevention and control Electronic health record documentation Airway management support Patient and family education
