The facility maintains established clinical protocols and appropriate resources to support quality emergency care delivery across day and night shift coverage periods. Infrastructure is in place to accommodate locum tenens clinicians during assigned coverage periods. About the Facility Location Mount Vernon, Ohio is situated approximately one hour north of Columbus in Knox County and offers a blend of outdoor recreation and cultural attractions. The downtown area features local dining establishments such as Burrata Woodfired, The Alcove, and Southside Diner, alongside performing arts venues and retail businesses. Clinicians on assignment may also explore the 250-acre Ariel-Foundation Park, which includes three lakes and nearly 5 miles of paths, as well as the Kokosing Gap Trail and the Ohio to Erie Trail for biking and walking opportunities. About the Clinician's Workday The Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner will work scheduled 10

  • 12-hour shifts in a 17-bed Emergency Department, independently evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients presenting with a variety of urgent and emergent conditions. Clinicians will work alongside physicians and other APPs in a collaborative coverage model supporting approximately 25,000
  • 26,000 ED visits annually. Shift coverage is available during both day and night shifts, with weekday times of 9:30 AM
  • 9:30 PM and 1:30 PM
  • 1:30 AM, and weekend times of 10:00 AM
  • 8:00 PM and 2:30 PM
  • 12:30 AM.

No call responsibilities are associated with this assignment, and neither board certification nor prescriptive authority is required.
