Schedule/Hours 12-hour nights Every other weekend and every other holiday
What You'll Do:
Deliver patient-centered care as part of the MS/Oncology Unit, utilizing the full nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—in collaboration with interdisciplinary professionals. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments, ensuring treatment plans are evidence-based and updated according to patient response. Serve as a resource for patient and care coordination, advocating for quality of life choices and supporting families, including spiritual and palliative care needs. Administer medications safely, following all regulatory and facility guidelines, and perform duties such as dysrhythmia monitoring and responding to rapidly changing conditions. Manage care for patients with multi-system organ failure or trauma, employing advanced technologies and therapeutic modalities. Provide critical education and mentorship to peers, contributing to a collaborative, quality-focused team environment.
Qualifications:
Current RN license (multistate/compact accepted) Minimum 1 year RN experience (6+ months in acute care strongly preferred) Background in oncology is highly desirable BLS required (can attain prior to patient care), ACLS preferred Willingness and ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (study guide available)
EPIC EHR
experience and Critical Care Course preferred Locals not accepted—expand your horizons traveling more than 50 miles from home
