• Ashtabula (KSU-A) , is offering a new Registered Nurse (RN) Apprenticeship program to obtain the education and skills needed to become a RN at UH Lake West and UH Tripoint Medical Centers.

This program will follow a milestone model where selected candidates will receive tiered bonuses as certain milestones are achieved, earning up to 12K. The candidate will be hired into a Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA) role with a minimum work commitment of 24hrs every 6-week schedule. Upon successful completion of a RN program at Lakeland Community College or Kent State University

• Ashtabula and receipt of RN licensure, the employee will be promoted to a UH Medical-Surgical RN with a 1-year work commitment at UH Lake West or UH Tripoint Medical Centers.

Qualifications Must be a student enrolled at Lakeland Community College or Kent State University-Ashtabula UH employees must be in good standing and current on all education requirements Must obtain admission to and maintain successful enrollment in the Lakeland Community College or Kent State University-Ashtabula Registered Nurse program Must work a minimum of 24 hours per 6-week schedule period Prior direct patient care experience preferred but not required Must have High School Diploma or GED BLS certification must be obtained during UH orientation Registered Nurse Apprentice
