The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit's (PACU) team of caregivers at Euclid Hospital pride themselves on providing top-quality and patient-centered care all while ensuring the safety of their patients. As an RN in the PACU, you will provide direct nursing care to diverse populations of post-surgical patients waiting for their anesthesia to wear off. This includes monitoring patient's health, assessing patient's pain levels, administering medication, and maintaining up-to-date patient records. • A caregiver in this position works days four 10-hour shifts from 5:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. No weekends or holidays.
• A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care.

+ Implement and monitor patient care plans. + Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions. + Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. + Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns + Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within six months of hire Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) + Pre and post op/PACU experience

• Physical Requirements:

• + Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

+ Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. + Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. + Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. + Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. + Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

• Pay Range
• Minimum hourly: $35.

50 Maximum hourly: $55.60 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
