JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing health care and related tasks at The Counseling Center within the guidelines of the state of Ohio Board of Nursing and the policy and procedures of The Counseling Center, Inc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Provides patient care and nursing services as allowed within the guidelines of the state of Ohio Board of Nursing. Assists Medical Clinic Office Manager with inventory control in health center. Works with other health center staff to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for staff and patients. Assists Program Director in maintaining accurate and up to date policies and procedures, protocols, and standing orders as well as compliance issues required by funding, licensure, and certifying bodies. Positively represents the department/agency through appropriate interaction, personal appearance and attitude. Maintains patient confidentiality at all time as required by 42 CFR and
HIPAA. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of Compass Community Health. Assists with office tasks as needed Performs any other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Knowledge/skill regarding patient/family health care practices across the life span. Ability in the area of effective communication and interpersonal skills with public and co-workers Demonstrates appropriate understanding of working with confidential material and situations Ability to understand and assimilate new information quickly Ability to accurately complete reports, gather statistics, transfer data
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Holds and maintains licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. Prior experience working in patient/family health care environment preferred. Knowledge about the disease of addiction preferred.
