JOB SUMMARY

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization's mission.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Current

BLS & ACLS

certification. Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN experience in a hospital.

Floating:

Must have a willingness to float to other 2 campuses Medical Surgical/Telemetry Units if census drops in order to maintain hours.

On-call:

Must report within 1 hour to the facility

PREFERRED

Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience. Previous telemetry experience. PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)

Charting:

Epic is preferred but not required.

Summary:
