Minimum 3 Months (Extension Possible) Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a correctional healthcare team in Grafton, OH . This full-time contract position offers multiple shifts and the opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care in a secure healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to inmate patients, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring. Administer prescribed medications, immunizations, IV therapy, and other treatments as ordered. Monitor and document patient symptoms, responses to treatment, and overall progress. Perform routine nursing rounds, vital signs, wound care, oxygen therapy, catheterization, tube feeding, suctioning, and phlebotomy. Respond to medical emergencies, administer first aid and CPR, and coordinate emergency transport when necessary. Participate in Code Blue responses and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans. Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs and other healthcare support staff when assigned. Educate patients on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required Current BLS/CPR certification Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient care skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous correctional nursing experience Experience with IV therapy, wound care, emergency response, and medication administration #

$48.00 - $50.00 per hour
