Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and sterile processing while maintaining aseptic techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies for patients in settings like nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia, and those requiring hospice or palliative medicine. Respond swiftly to emergency situations in acute care environments such as Level I/II trauma centers or ICU units by applying critical care protocols and emergency response procedures. Support infection control practices through specimen collection/processing and adherence to CDC guidelines for infectious disease care. Educate patients and families on health coaching, medication administration, pain management techniques, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal health outcomes. Requirements Valid RN license in the relevant state or jurisdiction with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Proven experience working in diverse clinical settings including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU/trauma centers, or outpatient clinics. Strong familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for medical documentation and records management. Demonstrated proficiency in advanced nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, ventilator management, ostomy care, and laboratory procedures. Critical thinking skills with the ability to perform thorough patient assessments and respond effectively to acute situations like trauma or cardiac emergencies. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology principles, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures and diagnostics. Experience working with special populations such as pediatric patients during neonatal resuscitation or neonatal ventilator use; geriatric patients requiring memory or dementia care; individuals with disabilities needing tailored support. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital medicine, home health services, or outpatient clinics.
