Position:

RN Wound Nurse/Infection Control Job Description:

The Nurse is responsible for the supervision of nursing personnel and the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. They are the nurse's eyes and ears, and are responsible for ensuring that the nursing team is functioning properly, that patients receive the care that is right for their health and well-being, and that the facility is clean and safe. The Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing, and works under the direction of the RN/LVN Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Understands Normandy Care Center patient care guidelines to ensure that patients are receiving the highest quality of care..
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding licensing and certification.
• Understands infection control guidelines and sets up schedules for infection control personnel.
• Coordinates care plan evaluation processes with other nurses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a nurse supervisor or in a supervisory role in a long-term care facility or other healthcare setting required; or equivalent combination of education & experience.
