Key responsibilities include conducting holistic assessments, diagnosing and prioritizing patient problems, developing and communicating care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team through effective communication methods such as SBAR and handoffs, ensures safety, and responds promptly to emergencies. Continuous evaluation of patient outcomes and documentation in electronic medical records are essential. Leadership, mentorship, and participation in professional development activities are encouraged to foster growth and improve care quality. The position requires a current Ohio nursing license, BLS certification, and ACLS within six months for certain units. A BSN is preferred within five years for hires post-2010. No prior experience is required, but ongoing education and certification in specialty areas are supported. Strong communication skills, cultural competence, adaptability, and commitment to professional growth are essential.
