Serving the needs of Garfield Heights and the Southeast communities of Cuyahoga County, Marymount Hospital is an acute care, faith-based hospital. The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) offers advanced outpatient surgery, allowing patients to return home soon after their procedures without the need for overnight stays. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. A caregiver in this position works 7:00am to 4:30pm with Saturday requirements. This role will have the opportunity to float on rotation between Twinsburg, Lorain, Beachwood, Strongsville and Marymount locations. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Oversee the clinical practice of nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), including assessing patient care needs and planning the delivery of care utilizing the nursing process in a variety of settings. Direct other caregivers in providing patient care. Report variances from standard practice to the Nurse Manager. Develop educational material and provide health education to patients and families. Process patients through the ASC. Assess the level of personnel skills and the availability of resources to meet established patient outcomes. Actively participate in attaining ASC goals and mission. Monitor and evaluate cost effective practices within the ASC. Participate in the development and utilization of quality monitoring programs within the ASC. Responsible for personal and staff development by maintaining nursing competencies and participating in the preparation of staff development programs. Identify self-learning needs by establishing personal and professional goals to meet those needs and evaluate the attainment of the set goals. Demonstrate respect for the cultural and social differences that exist among people. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, families and staff members. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire One year of clinical experience as an RN in a perioperative or critical care setting OR three years of Surgical Technician experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: BSN 1-2 years of OR experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.40 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
