Job Description

Join OneStaff Medical as a Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical. In this travel role, you'll deliver direct, evidence-based care to adult med-surg patients, administer medications, monitor and interpret patient conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across varied hospital settings. You'll document accurately in the EHR, coordinate discharges, educate patients and families, and follow infection control and safety protocols. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients Administer medications and treatments safely per provider orders Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status and vital signs Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on care decisions Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records documentation Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges Adapt quickly to new hospital environments, workflows, and teams Required Skills Medical-surgical nursing care IV insertion and management Medication administration and reconciliation Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation (e.g., Epic, Cerner) Patient assessment and clinical judgment Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of basic rhythms Wound care and post-operative management Care planning and care coordination Infection control and safety protocols Patient and family education
