The Employee Health RN Administers the daily operations of Employee Health (EH) & Wellness, in partnership with HR and the Director of Quality. The EH RN Promotes health, safety, and wellness to all employees by facilitating an Employee Health and Wellness program which includes conducting employee health screenings, administration of vaccines, promotion of a safe work environment and follow-up of employee illness and injuries. This position serves on the Environment of Safety committee reporting caregiver injury trends and process improvement to reduce work injury in partnership with other department managers.
Job Requirements Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
Use of Excel database, ability to extract clinical information from electronic medical record related to IP, ability to analyze and interpret clinical research, ability to read and extract meaning from state and federal regulations Ability to develop and implement performance improvement projects. Ability to interpret, create and modify policy and procedures. Ability to work independently, exercise creativity and prioritize scheduling of work Strong organizational and interpersonal skills License/Certification Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon Current BLS certification through American Heart Association Certification in Occupational Health is preferred but not required Education and/or Experience BSN preferred or currently enrolled in a BSN program. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably working in a specialized clinical area such as: surgical services, maternity or emergency department Previous experience in employee health, infection control or occupational health is strongly preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance Position involves sitting, walking, standing, stooping, occasional carrying/lifting of items (up to 20 lbs). May require significant walking between buildings/campuses. May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and dept perception and hand /finger dexterity in order to use computer keyboard and general office equipment. Position may require travel between associated clinics and off-site departments.
