Full Job Description Role Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as coordinating activities across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment:
Performs multi-system evaluations, monitors deviations, and conducts discharge assessments.
Planning:
Develops individualized care plans, coordinates care and discharge, delegates tasks, and prioritizes patient needs.
Implementation:
Initiates protocols, documents accurately, performs procedures, administers medications, and manages emergencies.
Evaluation:
Assesses effectiveness of care, response to treatment, and participates in quality assurance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum nine months of RN experience. Current ED experience or successful completion of an internship program. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and pediatric courses within specified timeframes. Computer proficiency required.
Preferred Attributes:
Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor's degree. Certifications like CEN and TNCC are advantageous. Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias and effective communication skills.
