Job Description

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) at the Hood River Valley School-Based Health Center (SBHC) provides high-quality, patient-centered care to students by utilizing the nursing process as the foundation of clinical practice. This role requires clinical excellence, critical thinking, and independent decision-making while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure students' health concerns are appropriately assessed, addressed, and triaged to the appropriate level of care. This position is primarily located at School Based Clinic Hood River Valley High School, coverage required on Monday & Thursday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available with additional clinical coverage at other OCH clinic locations.
Qualifications:
Current unrestricted Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of one year of nursing experience. Ability to obtain Washington RN License within 3 months of start date. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-directed decision-making. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage difficult interactions and promote positive resolutions. Experience using electronic health records (EHRs), preferably Epic. Proficiency with standard computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Experience in an integrated, team-based care environment. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Pediatric nursing experience.

Hourly /
Non-Exempt:
$38.00-$40.75 per hour, depending on experience.
Bilingual Differential:
An additional $0.75 per hour is offered for demonstrated proficiency in both English and Spanish.
