Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families to support positive health outcomes Familiarity with health documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide daily healthcare support and emergency nursing services to students and staff Monitor and manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies Help develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with medical needs Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures per physician orders Keep accurate and confidential health records in accordance with school policy Educate students and staff on relevant health topics, preventive care, and wellness initiatives Participate in school safety planning and communicable disease management Serve as a liaison between families, healthcare providers, and educational staff This role offers the chance to create a nurturing, safe environment where students can thrive both academically and physically.
