Job Description
Med-Trans Corporation seeks a Registered Nurse to provide critical care in our air medical transport program. In this field-based role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care during helicopter and fixed-wing transports, performing rapid assessment, advanced interventions, and continuous monitoring for critically ill and injured patients. You will collaborate closely with pilots, paramedics, and hospital and EMS partners in a safety-first, mission-driven culture that values clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassion. Responsibilities Provide high-quality critical care during helicopter and fixed-wing transports Perform rapid patient assessment and implement evidence-based interventions Collaborate closely with pilots, paramedics, and hospital/EMS teams Safely manage advanced airways, ventilators, and critical infusions in flight Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and communication Participate in safety briefings, simulations, and ongoing training Ensure readiness, checks, and proper use of all medical equipment and supplies Contribute to a safety-first, mission-driven, and compassionate team culture Required Skills Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Medication administration and titration Airway management and intubation assistance Trauma and critical care nursing EKG interpretation Pre-hospital/EMS protocols Use of transport/flight medical equipment Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
