In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support patients of all ages and conditions, from acute emergencies to long-term care, fostering a positive healing environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a collaborative, innovative healthcare environment. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic and Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, botulinum toxin treatments, and other specialized therapies. Assist with diagnostic procedures such as catheterizations, spinal taps, sonography, and laboratory specimen collection/processing. Manage airway support and ventilator care for critically ill patients in ICU or Level I/II trauma center settings. Provide wound care including suturing, ostomy care, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Coordinate patient discharge planning and case management for post-acute care or long-term care facilities like nursing homes or assisted living communities. Deliver emergency response procedures including basic life support (BLS), neonatal resuscitation procedures, and trauma medicine protocols in urgent or emergency room environments. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in EMR/EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans for patients with complex needs such as infectious diseases, behavioral health issues, or memory care requirements. Educate patients and families on health coaching, medication administration, nutrition, and disease management strategies. Skills Strong clinical skills in critical Expertise in specialized nursing areas such as, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health. Ability to perform complex procedures like IV insertion, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, sterile processing techniques, and specimen collection/processing. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology principles essential for accurate patient assessment and diagnosis. Excellent communication skills to effectively triage patients and collaborate with healthcare teams across outpatient clinics or inpatient units. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; familiarity with NCQA standards is a plus. Demonstrated ability to adhere to infection control practices and maintain sterile technique during invasive procedures.
