3787402-97741 Job Description Bring your nursing expertise to a dynamic school setting, making a meaningful impact on students from PreK through age 21 (primarily K-12). You'll provide essential care in a district serving approximately 2,700 students across eight schools. This contract position offers flexibility, with the option to work three to five days per week and between 24 and 40 hours weekly, supporting your work-life balance. As the school nurse, you'll work closely with a varied student population, including those requiring specialized medical support such as feeding tubes, diabetes management, seizure care, and more. You will be responsible for writing individualized care plans and delegating appropriate services to on-site staff. With six out of eight schools supported by health room assistants, you'll play a key leadership and advisory role, ensuring consistent, safe care across the district.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, with school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred Experience managing care plans for complex medical needs (e.g., diabetes, seizures, shunts, feeding tubes) Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families Ability to work independently and delegate appropriately to school staff Organized, adaptable, and confident leading health initiatives across multiple sites
