$2,400 - $2470/Weekly Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Stepdown care to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient assessment, critical care procedures, and advanced nursing practices within a fast-paced clinical environment. As an RN Stepdown, you will provide expert nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care units to less acute settings, ensuring optimal recovery and safety. Your expertise will support multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, compassionate care across diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition to identify changes requiring immediate intervention. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, and medication management aligned with physicians' orders. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for precise documentation of patient care activities and medical records. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Perform specialized procedures including suturing, catheterization, ventilator management, and wound care following aseptic techniques. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medication regimens, and post-discharge care instructions. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and NCQA standards while maintaining high standards of infection control and safety protocols. Requirements Valid RN license with current licensure in the state of employment. Proven experience in stepdown units, ICU, or hospital medicine with a focus on acute care environments. Critical care experience including familiarity with ventilators, cardiac catheterization procedures, trauma medicine, and telemetry monitoring. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) is preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to complex patient care. Experience working with diverse patient populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is advantageous. Additional skills in infectious disease management, pain management, dialysis procedures, or hospice & palliative medicine are desirable. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to perform under pressure in emergency situations such as Level I & II trauma centers or neonatal resuscitation procedures. $2,400.00 - $2,470.00 per week
