1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Oncology RN for a 13-week contract requiring MS/Tele experience and BLS certification. Details 5N Oncology unit, a 30-bed medical surgical oncology unit on the seventh floor of Building A Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 0700-1930 RN to patient ratio of 1:4-6 CNA to patient ratio of 1:6-13 on days and 1:10-13 on nights Epic charting system used, experience required Every other weekend required Floating required within scope, with priority to West Valley Hospital, approximately 15 minutes away Block scheduling not accommodated Requirements Active RN license required; Oregon pending licensure accepted at submission Current BLS certification through AHA Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with O2 protocol and non-invasive airway management Experience with peripheral line care/management Experience with isolation precautions/PPE Experience with rapid response team activation Computerized documentation experience required Epic charting experience required Additional Information Care for medical surgical oncology patients across all stages of cancer diagnosis, including end-of-life care Obtain chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration certification within one year of hire Work integrated with Salem Health Cancer Institute and Palliative Care team for a holistic approach to patient care Short term acute care hospital with Magnet designation, teaching status, and Level II Trauma Center Royal blue scrub color required Local candidates accepted First-time travelers accepted RTO requests over 2 weeks require approval and must be finalized at time of consideration Former employees of this health system are not eligible for assignments until six months after employment termination Up to 8 hours of non-billable training modules required prior to start and annually thereafter
