1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week contract requiring at least 1 year of recent MS/Tele experience and BLS certification. Details Med/Surg Tele unit in a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level II Trauma Center with 569 staffed beds Cares for medical/surgical patients ranging from general non-tele to IMC level acuity Patient ratios of 1:4-6 depending on acuity Utilizes Epic for charting Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 0700-1930 Every other weekend required, but not every weekend May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to a nearby affiliated hospital approximately 15 minutes away 36 or 48 hour weekly options available Requirements Active or pending Oregon RN license required Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele required Telemetry and IV start experience required IMC experience preferred Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response team activation, and computerized documentation Epic charting experience required Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration Nursys or license verification dated within the last 30 days required for consideration Additional Information Provides care for medically complex patients requiring titration of Nitro, Cardizem, and Amiodarone Royal blue scrubs required Free parking available Required modules (up to 8 hours, non-billable) must be completed prior to start and annually thereafter RTO requests exceeding 2 weeks require approval and must be finalized at the time of consideration Local candidates accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former employees are not eligible for assignments until six months have passed since their termination date Block scheduling is not accommodated
