TURNOVER MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for conducting basic maintenance of vacant apartments / homes. This role is perfect for those who can work alone for long periods of time, communicate clearly with team members, and a working knowledge of a variety of trade skills.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience with turnover maintenance. Knowledge of maintenance procedures and protocols. Experience using hand and power tools. Safety conscious Comfortable using smartphone and computer. Good customer service skills. Physically capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs unassisted). Excellent proactivity and problem solving skills. Solid understanding of building construction principles. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Able to perform all job duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Willing to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities. Utilize company software to track work orders, email, communicate with others, and track time. Assist with other duties as assigned, such as painting, cleaning, and repairs. Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Report violations, concerns, and maintenance issues to management. Mandatory on-call rotation. Complete company training and comply with safety policies and all industry, local, state, and federal laws. Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to prioritize tasks and optimize workflow under the direction of the Turnover Coordinator. Document maintenance activities and repairs in a timely and accurate manner. Complete turnover checklists. Basic light fixture replacements, repair window screens, minor sheetrock and drywall repairs, basic woodworking (doors, baseboards, cabinets, etc.), caulking, smoke detector replacement / installation, etc. Benefits 8 paid holidays per year January 1st front-loaded 96 hours of PTO Company matched 401K retirement plan (eligible in 6 months) Monday
