1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and 3+ years of ED experience at a critical access hospital. Details Critical access hospital Emergency Department with 23 staffed beds General ED treating combined adult and pediatric patients Patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00 Every other weekend required No on-call requirement Floating to other units and sister facilities based on skill set and staffing needs Epic charting system used Requirements Active OR RN license required, compact license must be in hand at time of submission Minimum 3 years of ED experience required Community hospital experience required Required certifications:

ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC NRP

certification preferred Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, blood product administration, and arterial line management Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias Experience with trauma cases including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, and spinal cord injuries Experience with neurological emergencies including CVA and traumatic brain injury Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE and triage Must have a vehicle for this assignment Additional Information Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric presentations Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-submission requests may not be granted Any color scrubs accepted, with scrubs provided for OR/L&D roles No parking fee at this facility First-time travelers will be considered only if they have appropriate ED experience Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel nurse and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
