Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team. A Pennsylvania school staff nurse provides direct medical care, administers medication, and manages student health needs under the direction of a certified school nurse or district administrator.

Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Care:

Assess and treat student and staff illnesses or injuries, and handle medical emergencies.

Medication Administration:

Give prescribed medications and treatments following PA nursing standards, doctor orders, and school board policy.

Health Records:

Maintain accurate student health logs, immunization records, and care plans using electronic health databases.

Mandated Support:

Assist certified school nurses with state-mandated health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and follow-up care.

Communication:

Notify parents of injuries or illnesses, and collaborate with teachers, staff, and outside medical providers

Qualifications & Clearances Licensure:

Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

Certifications:

Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.

Background Clearances:

Pennsylvania State Police criminal history record, child abuse history clearance (Act 151), and Federal Criminal History (FBI fingerprinting)

Pay:

From $29.70 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week
