Job Description
Trusted Health seeks a Critical Care Float Pool nurse to provide expert care across ICU, step-down, and other high-acuity units. You'll rapidly assess and manage complex patients, administer meds, manage vents and drips, and respond to emergencies while adapting quickly to new teams and workflows. Supported by our tech-forward, nurse-centric platform, you'll access flexible assignments, transparent communication, and clinical support so you can focus on delivering safe, evidence-based care and improving patient outcomes in diverse hospital settings. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality critical care to patients across multiple hospital units as part of the float pool team Rapidly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in ICU, step-down, and other high-acuity settings Administer medications, manage ventilators and drips, and operate critical care monitoring equipment safely Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate complex care plans Respond to emergencies, codes, and rapid response situations using established protocols Adapt quickly to different unit workflows, documentation systems, and patient populations Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and communicate status changes clearly Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards to ensure patient and staff safety Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-care instructions Participate in ongoing training, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Critical care nursing ICU patient assessment Ventilator management Titrating IV drips Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) ECG/EKG interpretation Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Infection control practices Rapid response and code management Patient and family education
