Job Description

Our Cardiology I department at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association is in need of a per-diem Registered Nurse to work in the stress lab. The Registered Nurse plays a key role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the well-being of patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Administers treatment and medication under the instructions of the physicians. Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to the patients and their families and educates them on disease management, special diet, infection control procedures, and self-care Collaborates with physicians to create plan of care Maintains patients records of symptoms and progress Tracks and maintains medical supplies and inventory logs Takes and records vital signs, medical history, or other relevant information. Collects specimens and performs basic testing and diagnostics. Schedules procedures or advanced tests. Prepares patient for examination or treatment by the physician. Audits clinic inventory and orders supplies as needed. Assists patients with obtaining referrals and making appointments for specialists. Serves as a subject matter expert in a particular clinical area.
Experience, Qualifications, and Education:
Must perform work under minimal supervision Must possess current up-t-date ACLS certification Must be proficient in starting IVs Ability to read and interpret EKGs May act as a lead or first-level supervisor Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing and RN licensure Ability to work as part of a team Oral and written communication skills Problem-solving skills Attentiveness Interpersonal skills The potential base pay for this position is $45 per hour. The pay range listed in this job posting is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered and is not a guarantee of a particular wage. Actual base pay will vary and is commensurate with the applicant's knowledge, experience, education, skills, training, certifications, and qualifications required for the role. In addition, the listed pay range is based on factors at the time of this job posting and may be modified in the future based on market data, internal equity, and the budget of the department hiring for this position. Final compensation and benefit eligibility may vary by role and employment status and will be confirmed at the time of offer. Benefits, PTO, and Holiday Pay are only available to employees working 24 hours or more per week.
