Every OR every other Saturday 9a-9pm Collegeville This friendly client is an awake, alert and oriented gentleman. He is deaf and uses ASL sign language. He also reads lips and is eager and patient as his caregivers learn how to communicate with him. He is laid back, easy going and has an established routine. He is able to eat by mouth. He has favorite TV shows, loves to go for wheelchair strolls in his neighborhood and interact with the 2 small dogs in the home. He has a trach and is oxygenated overnight. The nurse would be responsible for all meds and treatments as written by his MD. The nurse must have strong respiratory assessment skills and be able to perform trach care daily, including changing, cleaning and maintaining its patency. Assist with ADL's and maintain clean environment. There are several caged birds and 2 small dogs in the home. no smoking. For nurses who are looking for work-life balance. Work with one client per day and be the nurse you learned to be in nursing school.
