Role Overview:

This position is for a Regional Support Nurse (Dialysis Nurse Float) responsible for providing RN coverage across multiple markets. The nurse will travel as needed to cover staffing gaps, supervise dialysis care, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and delegate tasks to dialysis technicians, ensuring safe and effective dialysis treatment. Provide patient education on renal disease, vascular access, and dialysis therapy. Conduct pre- and post-treatment assessments, document interventions, and evaluate patient responses. Collaborate with healthcare team members to interpret lab results, adjust care plans, and coordinate treatment. Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR, including physician orders, lab results, medications, and patient condition. Administer medications as prescribed, monitor patient response, and maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with relevant clinical experience. Strong supervision, communication, and patient care skills. Ability to travel across assigned regions and adapt to varied clinical settings. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to dialysis care. Competence in documentation, lab specimen handling, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
