Expert / Experienced RN About the Role Sthenos Technologies is currently hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a correctional healthcare position supporting a state correctional institution. This is a great opportunity for a licensed RN with strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a structured, security-focused environment.

Shift Details Shift:

2nd Shift (1400-2230) Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to inmate-patients in accordance with correctional healthcare policies and standard nursing practices Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations per physician orders Conduct sick call assessments, triage, and emergency response as needed Monitor chronic care patients and coordinate follow-up care Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Collaborate with medical, mental health, and security staff to ensure patient and facility safety Respond to medical emergencies and codes within the facility Maintain infection control standards and proper handling of medical supplies/equipment Ensure compliance with all facility security protocols while performing nursing duties Requirements Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania RN license Current BLS certification (AHA preferred) Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience (correctional, ER, med-surg, or psych experience preferred) Ability to pass a required background check and clearances Comfortable working in a secure correctional setting with inmate population Strong assessment, triage, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment Required Documentation (Pre-Employment) RN license verification BLS certification Physical exam TB screening (2-Step PPD, QuantiFERON, or T-Spot) Drug screening Act 33/34 and FBI clearances (as applicable) Why Join Sthenos Technologies?
