In-Person Competitive Salary 1 Years Experience Vocational/Technical Certificate No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Night Shift / Full-Time Description The Registered Nurse is responsible to provide direct quality skilled nursing care to residents; in compliance with physician orders, facility policy & procedures, and within the scope of practice for a Pennsylvania Licensed Registered Nurse. The RN ensures a safe environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Qualifications:

Current active Pennsylvania Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing. Current CPR certification Effective communicator, team player with patience, tact, and enthusiasm Must be in good physical and mental health Passes physical examination provided by a Pennsylvania Licensed provider Responsibilities The charge nurse is responsible for clinical operations on his/her shift. The charge nurse is responsible for delegation & work assignments. Directly supervises and is responsible for CNA staff to ensure quality care being delivered & regulations are met. The charge nurse is responsible to ensure all medications and treatments are delivered and documented on during the shift. Ensures personal care is delivered in a quality yet timely manner. Charge nurse is responsible for the security of the building during the shift. Charge nurse is responsible to replace any call offs received during the shift and secures safe adequate staffing for the oncoming shift. Direct Care As ordered All nursing treatments as per treatment administration record (TAR). Charting as per Medicare regulations, alerting charting, and resident condition. Additional documentation required on medication administration record, treatment record, behavior logs and weights and vital signs entered into resident's electronic health record. Notifies physicians for emergency orders. Makes rounds with physicians. Completes monthly skin assessments on all residents Makes recommendations to the Director of Nursing concerning personnel, process and equipment concerns. Participates in formal and informal teaching nursing personnel. Demonstrates knowledge of objectives and established policies and procedures of Guy & Mary Felt Manor. Admits, discharges and transfer residents as per policies. Completes all other tasks assigned by Director of Nursing. Attends nursing staff meetings and mandatory in-services. Participates in new employee orientation. The Charge nurse is responsible to complete all staff evaluations for staff working the shift.

Working Conditions:

Works in well lighted, ventilated rooms and hallways. Sits, stands, bends, stoops, and walks intermittently during the work day. Lifting and moving residents and equipment are required. May be subject to unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises, and infectious diseases.
