Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services to students and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct healthcare services to students
• Assess and treat illnesses and injuries within the school setting
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Monitor students with chronic health conditions
• Educate students and staff on health-related topics
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) preferred
• or willingness to obtain
• CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and vital signs
• Experience with medication administration
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to respond to medical emergencies effectively
