Responsibilities Assess and monitor patients requiring telemetry care. Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs. Recognize and respond to abnormal rhythms and changes in patient condition. Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments. Provide care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients. Assist with procedures and interventions as needed. Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and care plans. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Follow infection control, safety, and patient-care standards. Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Previous telemetry, cardiac, Med-Surg, or acute-care experience preferred. Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and clinical assessment skills. Strong critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills. BLS and ACLS certification as applicable.
