Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

SUMMARY OF JOB
Working under the direction of supervisor and/or nurse manager, directs and takes responsibility for total care of residents on a team. Responsible for implementing interventions designed to achieve the goals and objectives of the resident plan of care. All work is performed within a resident centered framework in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, residents and their families. Functions as a role model for staff.

Current RN license Previous experience preferred Demonstrates position communication skills Ability to relate to staff in a professional manner Must be flexible with scheduling Computer experience preferred Demonstrates sensitivity to residents emotional, social, mental health and spiritual needs Previous experience in a rehab setting preferred.
