DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position delivers direct nursing care to support the physical and mental health of individuals within the State Correctional Institution at Fayette. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

Treatment Delivery:

Administer medications, treatments, tests, and emergency care in accordance with clinical direction

Health Assessment:

Evaluate patient conditions, monitor changes, and assist with examinations and specialty clinics

Daily Support:

Help individuals with activities of daily living to ensure their basic care needs are met

Record Management:

Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and medication records to support continuity of care

Safety Compliance:

Follow infection control procedures, correctional policies, and quality service standards

Team Communication:

Work Hours and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40-hour work week. The Department of Corrections is staffed by three (3) work shifts that cover the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 2nd

Shift:

2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Alternative work schedules may be available based on operational needs. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

Telework:

You will not have the option to telework in this position.
