The RN uses the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement care plans, monitor responses to treatment, and collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Assignments may include preparation, surgical, or recovery areas. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, obtain histories, and monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Identify and report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to physicians and the care team. Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care and communicate effectively with patients and families. Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and outcomes accurately in the EMR. Support surgical procedures, including preparing rooms, equipment, and supplies and assisting surgeons as needed. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and follow infection control protocols. Operate C-Arm/fluoroscopy equipment under the direction of the surgeon when assigned to the surgical setting. Maintain compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and applicable regulations. Participate in continuing education and professional development.
