As we step into National Physical Therapy Month, we're reminded of the extraordinary impact our physical therapy clinicians make every single day. This month gives us the opportunity to truly appreciate the expertise and compassion they bring to every patient encounter. Movement is one of the most fundamental parts of living—and yet, for so many of our patients, it can feel out of reach. Our Aveanna physical therapists help restore what's been lost and inspire confidence where there was once uncertainty. Whether they're supporting an adult working toward regaining independence, helping a child discover new abilities, or guiding families through unfamiliar challenges, the work they do is nothing short of transformative. Thank you for the hope you instill and the lives you touch. Happy National Physical Therapy Month! #Aveanna #NationalPhysicalTherapyMonth #PTMonth 10 What will you find at Aveanna Healthcare? //bit.ly/4dlmerT 3 Isla Rose came home from the hospital for the first time on September 3, and just one day later, she was welcomed into the Aveanna family. Isla Rose faces incredible challenges each day, including holoprosencephaly, a cleft lip and palate, seizures, continuous oxygen support, and tube feeding. Through it all, she is surrounded by the unwavering love of her parents. Her dad serves on active military duty, and her mom dedicates each day to caring for their daughter. As her dad prepares for deployment, Isla Rose and her family can count on the support of their Aveanna nurses, Jean, Caitlyn, and Kari. Their skilled care helps ensure Isla Rose can remain safe, comfortable, and at home with her family, wherever their military journey may lead. Welcome to the Aveanna family, Isla Rose. We are honored to be part of your journey. [This post has been shared with permission from the patient's family.] #Aveanna 238 Today is World Heart Day! Aveanna is proud to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD) and encourage communities to advocate for heart health. According to the World Heart Federation, CVD kills over 20.5 million people each year. However, 80% of premature deaths from CVD can be prevented by simple changes to diet, exercise, and stress management. This year's theme for World Heart Day is "Don't Miss a Beat," an initiative to highlight the importance of recognizing signs and symptoms of CVD. To learn more about World Heart Day and how you can show your support, visit https://pulse.ly/9d9xb5grjh. #Aveanna #WorldHeartDay #DontMissABeat 5 October is Learning Disability Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about the experiences of millions of individuals living with learning disabilities. These disabilities can affect how a person reads, writes, processes information, or performs calculations. While learning disabilities may present challenges, many individuals also possess unique strengths, talents, and perspectives that deserve recognition and celebration. By increasing understanding and awareness, we can help reduce barriers, encourage early identification, and connect individuals with the support and resources they need to reach their full potential. #Aveanna #LearningDisabilityAwarenessMonth 27 It's important to be aware of the different vaccines available to keep yourself and others safe for the upcoming respiratory virus season. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the updated 2026-2027 flu vaccines to protect against severe infection this fall and winter. Talk with your doctor and visit https://pulse.ly/2gkb8fkshq to learn more. #Aveanna 2 Mills began his journey with Aveanna right after he came home from the NICU in 2021. With his trach and G-tube, Mills required attentive and nurturing care as he began his new adventure at home for the first time. Nurse Supervisor Erin connected Mills and his family with a group of compassionate clinicians who they could trust, lean on, and learn from. His nurses Morgan, Madi, and Ashley were there for countless milestones, ensuring Mills and his family never felt alone in their care journey. His therapists, Brooke and Shelley, celebrated the little victories, pushed Mills when he needed it, and always saw his capabilities. Now, just in time for kindergarten, Mills has graduated from Aveanna! He was also decannulated, another milestone that's shown how far he's come. "We are incredibly thankful for Aveanna and the people who have become such an important part of our family's story," said Mills's family. "These women have not simply provided care or therapy—they have supported us, educated us, encouraged us, and helped carry us through some of the hardest moments. They are the reason families like ours can breathe a little easier, and that kind of care is something our family will never forget." Patients like Mills remind us of the beauty in every journey and the care teams that are there for every step. Keep doing amazing things, Mills!
