In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, infusions, and supportive treatments. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, symptom management, medication administration, and patient/family education. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, support clinical trials and academic medicine initiatives, and participate in quality and safety projects. Responsibilities Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients across the continuum of treatment. Administer chemotherapy, infusions, and supportive therapies per provider orders and protocols. Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status, symptoms, and treatment responses. Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, side effects, and self-care at home. Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members. Advocate for patients, ensuring comfort, dignity, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Utilize EMR systems accurately for orders, documentation, and care coordination. Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and oncology best-practice implementation. Precept, mentor, and collaborate with peers and students to support professional growth. Engage in ongoing education to maintain oncology competencies and relevant certifications.
