Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a school nurse in a dynamic PreK-3rd grade environment. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work closely with dedicated staff and support the health and well-being of a vibrant student community. You'll provide essential care and health management to approximately 500 students in a school building, serving as a crucial resource for students, families, and fellow educators. The assignment runs from September 8th through October 8th, with the potential to continue through the remainder of the school year following a successful initial trial period. This is a full-time role, scheduling 37.5 hours each week.
Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential preferred Previous experience in school settings, especially with early childhood and elementary-aged students, highly valued Strong clinical assessment and triage abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, and staff Commitment to promoting health education and preventative care within a school environment
