Job Description

Warren General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The Med-Surg RN will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care. Full-time, Days (7a-7p)
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on nursing standards and protocols. Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Qualifications:
Current RN license in Pennsylvania, or ability to obtain before start date. BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred). Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
