Correctional Nurse Shift - Night Shift Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Correctional Nurse, where you'll play a vital role in delivering comprehensive nursing care within correctional facilities. As a Correctional Nurse, you'll utilize your clinical expertise to perform assessments, administer treatments, and coordinate care in a fast-paced environment that demands both compassion and precision. Your dedication will directly impact the well-being of individuals in custody, fostering healthier outcomes and promoting safety for all. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories, utilizing advanced medical terminology and physiology knowledge. Administer medications via injection, IV infusion, and other routes following aseptic technique standards and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Manage acute pain episodes, perform suturing, catheterization, and wound care while ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed. Document all patient interactions accurately within EHR systems, maintaining comprehensive medical records. Provide triage services to prioritize urgent care needs. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and long-term care referrals. Requirements At least 1 year of correctional nursing experience Valid RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
