Registered Nurse NICU |
Level III Position:
Registered Nurse Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Start/Orientation Date:
September 30, 2026
Schedule:
3 12-hour shifts per week Nigh shift
Weekend Requirement:
Every 3rd weekend or more, if willing
Holiday Requirement:
Every other holiday

III NICU
in Chester County , staffed 24/7 by experienced neonatal specialists. The unit features 14 licensed beds with capacity for up to 20 babies and provides advanced neonatal care supported by state-of-the-art technology. The NICU cares for premature and critically ill newborns, including infants born at 22+ weeks gestation . The unit does not care for surgical patients. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates in a Level
III NICU.
Care for infants requiring CPAP and mechanical ventilation . Manage and monitor UVC lines and other neonatal access. Assist with deliveries and provide neonatal support in Labor & Delivery when needed. Provide comprehensive developmental care tailored to the needs of premature and critically ill newborns. Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and communicate appropriately with the neonatal care team. Collaborate with neonatal specialists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain a safe, compassionate, and family-centered environment. Required Qualifications 2 3+ years of recent Level
III NICU RN
experience required. BSN required. NRP certification required. Strong clinical skills in neonatal critical care. Experience with CPAP, ventilators, UVC lines, and developmental care . Positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependability, flexibility, and empathy. Ability to take initiative and accept and implement feedback effectively. Staffing & Multidisciplinary Support The NICU has approximately 50 nurses and a strong multidisciplinary team, including: 2 Full-Time Physical Therapists Nutritionist Speech Therapist Social Work Schedule & Flexibility There are no scheduled on-call requirements . If the census unexpectedly decreases, a standby process may be implemented. Staff placed on standby must be able to report to the hospital within 1 hour if needed. If reassignment becomes necessary due to census, NICU nurses may be reassigned to Pediatrics or the Maternity Unit , caring only for babies.
