Job Description

Oasis Senior Living is looking for an experienced RN who enjoys working with the elderly and is seeking a flexible part-time schedule (approximately 10 hours per week). Prior experience with the elderly is a plus but not required. We are a small family-owned and operated business operating 7 small Assisted Living facilities with approximately 100 licensed beds in St George, Washington and Hurricane. The successful candidate will be the facility nurse working with all 7 locations.
Responsibilities include:
Assess the level of care needs for all residents prior to admission to the facility. Advise the Facility Administrator or owner regarding the level of care required by the prospective resident. Complete and sign the resident assessment on or before admission to the facility. Reassess each resident every six months and upon every significant change as defined by regulations. Train all caregivers in the proper procedures for passing medications. Review all medication changes prescribed by the resident's medical providers within 72 hours of the changed order. Review and sign all medication error reports prepared by caregivers. Provide additional training, if necessary. Review and sign all incident reports prepared by caregivers. Attend quarterly Quality Assurance meetings with Administrators and Owners.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Current RN license Interest in and concern for the elderly Minimal computer skills for charting Ability to develop trust and rapport with residents and CNAs/caregivers Knowledge and familiarity with state Assisted Living regulations (Will train on this)
