Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical procedures, from acute care to long-term management, while fostering a positive environment for patients and their families. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care by performing thorough assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following strict aseptic techniques and medical documentation standards. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, wound care, and ventilator management in various settings including ICU, emergency room, or outpatient clinics. Coordinate patient care plans through discharge planning, case management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or Athenahealth to document medical records accurately and efficiently. Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpreting results for informed clinical decisions. Support specialized care areas such as cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (botulinum toxin treatments), geriatrics (memory care), neonatal resuscitation procedures, trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), hospice & palliative medicine, infectious disease care, and behavioral health. Engage in triage activities to prioritize patient needs in urgent care or emergency settings while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized nursing interventions. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures and billing purposes. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth; familiarity with lab testing procedures and laboratory experience is a plus. Skilled in critical care practices including ICU experience, trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), ventilator management, acute pain management, and infectious disease protocols. Competent in performing advanced nursing skills such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, tube feeding management, ostomy care, gastric lavage, and neonatal ventilator support. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or urgent care clinics while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety standards. Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching topics such as medication administration or nutrition; capable of collaborating within multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
