This position runs through the end of the school year, with a dedicated nurse's office, and the chance to make an immediate impact on student well-being. As a trusted presence on campus, you'll help maintain a safe, supportive environment, addressing student needs with compassion, expertise, and attention to detail. Ideal candidates have experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified School Nurse (CSN), and a passion for working with young people. You'll play a vital role for students and staff alike, ensuring daily health needs are met and emergencies are handled with confidence.
Qualifications:
Active RN or CSN license in Rhode Island Previous school nurse or pediatric experience is strongly preferred Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification Strong skills in assessment, triage, and medication administration Excellent communication and documentation abilities Flexibility and dedication to student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and operate a self-contained health office within the school Provide direct care to students experiencing illness or injury Administer medications according to physician and parental instructions Document visits, incidents, and outcomes accurately Respond promptly to health-related emergencies Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student needs Feel the difference you can make in the daily lives of students—creating a healthy and supported school community.
