1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3+ years of OR experience and an active SC or compact RN license. Details Acute care hospital setting with 119 staffed beds General Operating Room unit performing gynecology, trauma, neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, and urology procedures Utilizes Da Vinci Xi Surgical System robotics and Hana Table equipment Works 5x8 hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM Weekend requirement typically every 4th weekend with weekday coverage, dependent on staffing needs On-call requirement for weekday call from 3 PM to 7 AM per rotation with staff Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including between like units and sister facilities Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required in hand prior to start Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required 3+ years of OR nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Additional Information Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, orthopedic, general surgery, neurology, and urology procedures Surgical scrubs provided by facility First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel rate All requested time off must be submitted in advance and is subject to facility approval based on staffing needs Facility may cancel up to one shift per two-week period based on staffing needs Previous MUSC permanent staff (including PRN) must have a one-year separation from the system before returning as a traveler During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams Block scheduling accommodations may be requested but are not guaranteedCareer Insights for Operating Room Registered Nurse
